Portfolio
To enhance sustainability and affordability, Adorvoa’s Reb M is made through bioconversion of stevia leaf extract, namely Reb A using natural enzymes.
Source of Raw Materials
The bio-conversion method for producing Reb M uses Reb A, which is extracted from stevia leaves grown and harvested in traditional agricultural cycles. Alternatively, fermented Reb M is derived from non-stevia leaf raw materials. These materials are processed through precision fermentation to produce steviol glycosides, which are then further converted into Reb M through multiple steps.
Enzyme and Yeast Usage
In the enzymatic conversion process, enzymes are employed solely as processing aids and are completely removed from the final product. On the other hand, the fermentation method utilizes yeast as a raw material. This yeast remains present in the final product and cannot be eliminated. As a result, bio-conversion Reb M is certified as NON-GMO, whereas fermented Reb M cannot achieve NON-GMO certification.
Regulatory Approval
Bio-conversion Reb M has already received approval in most major global markets. In contrast, Reb M produced through the fermentation method is still in the process of gaining broader market recognition and regulatory approval.
