In today's constantly evolving society, consumers have decided to no longer purchase and consume products with high sugar content. Health conscious consumers are looking for zero sugar, reduced sugar, and products with clean labels, and this particular shift in consumer behavior is already very common worldwide.
According to the Innova report, one out of every five new products claiming to reduce sugar comes from the soft drink category. Since 2018, 14% of beverages worldwide have issued statements claiming to reduce sugar, and at the same time, soft drinks have become a major target for implementing sugar taxes in countries around the world.
At the same time, people's views on sugar have changed significantly. Many consumers have begun to associate their daily high sugar intake with various health problems such as obesity, diabetes and heart disease.
